We gave love last Christmas 2010!
We wanted to help, we wanted to share all the blessings we have received for the past year. The decision was unanimous, we want to help people.
We were still students back then, we didn't have enough money other than our allowance but we had the heart to help. We decided that we wanted to spread love by making children happy so we thought of the slogan "Give Love on Christmas Day". Even if we wanted to throw a big Christmas party for the less fortunate kids just to make them feel loved on Christmas day, our money wasn't enough.
We used our own money and had 50 packs of snack. Each pack contained the following:
1 Hansel Biscuit
1 Nissin Wafer
1 Refresh drink
and some candies
We knew it wasn't enough but kids do appreciate even a candy right? And we wanted to give joy to the kids and yes, we did! We went to a slum area in a village here in Antipolo and the moment we took off the car while carrying those boxes and plastics of goodies, children came running towards us. In less than 5 minutes, all the packs were given away. There were other children who didn't receive a pack and we felt bad about it. So we decided to give more the following Christmas 2011, maybe throw a Christmas party to a chosen small charity and give meals rather than snacks.
Here are the pictures we took the day we gave love on Christmas day, December 19, 2010.
